Harrogate Hotels: The Acorn Lodge, Bed and Breakfast B&B UK

Don’t just take our word for it, see what our customers have to say!

“Fantastic place to stay
We were made to feel extremely welcome by Phil, the room was to the standard of a boutique hotel and breakfast was excellent! Will definitely be returning.”
Ben, Whitby.

“Family run with great family value
I was sad that I was only able to book the place for the one night as it met all of my needs. Room 5 had a good sized bed, clean modern decor. Breakfast was based on preorders for a certain time which actually meant it was ready for me and fresh and I had the added comfort of knowing less food wasted. So one English Breakfast with some fruit and toast. The place also has free wireless which was a great boon (I didn’t need parking and literally walked from the station.) It is under 5 minutes from the Harrogate Conference centre but is at the end of the road= no traffic noise! Will definitely seek to come back next time I am here- especially as my other booking at a different hotel in Harrogate bumped me as they overbooked! Something I don’t think would happen here.”
Allan, St Albans.

“Harrogate’s jewell in the crown….
Wow! i couldn’t agree more with previous reviews, this place is fantastic! I normally stay in large international hotels, but if i receive service like this, i’ll be staying here from now on. The hosts Philip & Alison were two of the warmest most welcoming people i’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. The rooms are impecable and the hotel location is only a short walk to the conference centre ( 3 minutes or so) and 5 mins to the shops and resteraunts. I can’t wait to go back, can’t reccomend enough, GO & STAY, YOU WON’T REGRET IT.”

“A home from home!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a romanic weekend. The hotel was recommended by a friend and exceeded our expectations. The owners Phil and Ali provided a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent..a good size, spotlessly clean and with everything you could need. The owners have a good local knowledge and recommended great places to eat. A hearty breakfast greeted us in the morning, served in the family atmosphere of the dining room. A good selection of cereals, toasts and cooked breakfasts…even the most fussy of eaters are catered for! The location was great, just a short walk into the town centre. Shops and pubs nearby. Parking just outside the hotel so no need to drive. This place was a home from home and we can’t wait to go back…… infact have already booked our next stay!”

Maz, Tyne on Wear.

“Fabulous!
I stayed at the Acorn Lodge Hotel as part of a group of five visiting Harrogate for a conference and we all agreed it was a fantastic place to stay and can highly recommend it! It was ideally situated a short walk from where our conference was being held at the Majestic Hotel, though for those going to the Harrogate International Centre the walk is even shorter! Also within easy walking distance of some very nice eating establishments! The rooms were lovely and comfortable, well equipped with large tv and hot showers – what more could you want? The breakfasts were delicious, though on our first morning not entirely appreciated by the whole group due to nerves about giving a presentation later that morning. We didn’t spend a great deal of time at the Lodge due to being busy at the conference, but the time we did spend there we found the place relaxing, friendly and our host had a great sense of humour thus making our stay very enjoyable! I believe a return trip to stay at the Acorn Lodge Hotel is on the cards so we can do the more touristy things in Harrogate we missed out on this time round.”

“What more could you want?
I think for a “5/5″, you have to be able to say “what more could you want?”. Well, at Acorn Lodge, nothing. From first to last the owners were helpful, the property comfortable and the food & facilities first class. We booked following the other reviews here, received written confirmation & were expected on arrival. Our front facing room overlooked the quiet residential street. Overnight we parked on the drive and the next day, when we’d gone into Harrogate were given a resident’s permit to park right outside. The room [a twin, the doubles were all booked] was comfortable, with chairs & table to form a small sitting room. The bathroom/shower was fine if [my only quibble] a little on the small side. Breakfast was simply first class & we heard others being given vegetarian/special diet options too. It’s not quite 10 minutes into the centre of town, so all in all, first class. We’d most certainly go again.”

“A little bit of heaven!
This is one bed and breakfast you don’t want to miss out on. Perfectly located right in the centre of harrogate but just enough away from the main street so that you get a very very relaxed night…this stunning little place is a part of heaven whether you’re a business person on a trip or a romantic couple looking to re-kindle the passion. Then acorn lodge is the place to be..Philip and Alison are superb host’s in fact Philips next career is as a comedian…….the hotel is friendly very hospitable and the food to die for all fresh ingredients….the rooms are first class and the setting is idylic…ive been to acorn twice this year and it wont be my last time..Philip and Alison cater for everyone whether you 8 or 80 I gaurantee you will go back again and again..so don’t pass by pop in say hello there’s always a warm friendly welcome to all..thanks again Philip for a fantastic time and the banter was great. Good luck for the future.”
