Valentine’s is coming up so treat yourself to a short break here at Acorn Lodge. We have a couple of rooms left for Valentine’s weekend, and we have a special package of 2 nights Bed and Breakfast with Fizz and Flowers on 10 -12th February for only £189.00. (subject to availability).

The Valley Gardens look pretty, Fountains Abbey looks amazing and the food there is great for a cold Winter afternoon. The Turkish Baths are just the thing for a warm up and massage, and there are plenty of spaces in the many restaurants Harrogate has to offer. There’s a fabulous new Indian in the old theatre (used to be Pinoccios for those in the know!). Ripley Castle are offering 2 for 1 entry into the gardens during January and February. There’s also plenty going on at RHS Harlow Carr Gardens, and don’t forget a visit to Betty’s Tearoom!

If you like rabbits, why not visit the small animal fair, or if you’re into toys, how about the Toy Collectors fair.

Well the Christmas tree is up , decorated by Lola and Olive the Cat so looks good from a distance! There’s a log in the fire (hope that wasn’t Olive), Phil’s got the Bailey’s in, what are you waiting for! December rooms are going fast, but there are some mid-week and Sunday Night Specials still available. Stay midweek or Sunday night for only £55 per room including breakfast! Please call for details. So come to Harrogate, it looks very pretty with all the Christmas lights, fantastic accommodation and breakfast here at the Acorn Lodge, crisp winter walks and activities at Harlow Carr and Fountains Abbey, tea at Betty’s, great shopping without the trek. Harrogate Comedy Festival 2011

Harrogate Theatre have announced the full-line up for their 2011 Comedy Festival which will be held at the North Yorkshire venue between 10-22 October. Over 30 comedians will perform across the Main Auditorium and Studio Theatre in just 12 days. This is the third year Harrogate Theatre have organised the event and last years Festival brought over 6,500 people to the Theatre over its two weeks
